Latest round enables Fortem to scale production and deployment amid surging demand for integrated airspace protection and counter-drone solutions
LINDON, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fortem Technologies, a global leader in airspace security, today announced the close of its $50 million Series B funding round. The round was led by Lockheed Martin, which committed $25 million in the initial tranche announced earlier this year, and includes participation from Unusual Machines and other strategic and institutional investors.

As hostile and unauthorized drones pose escalating threats in civilian and military airspace, demand has surged for the kind of integrated airspace protection architecture Fortem delivers. The Series B capital will enable Fortem to accelerate manufacturing at its Lindon, Utah facility and expand global deployment of its SkyDome® Family of Systems – combining TrueView® radar sensors, AI-powered command-and-control software, and DroneHunter® autonomous interceptors into a layered system that detects, tracks, classifies, and defeats aerial threats.
Recent milestones underscore the pace of that demand: a multimillion-dollar Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract to protect 2026 FIFA World Cup venues, a U.S. Army contract to defend installations worldwide, and deepening integration with Lockheed Martin’s Sanctum™ Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) architecture. In August, Fortem also became the only small business to be selected by DHS as a prime contractor on its five-year C-UAS hardware and software contract, which carries an estimated starting ceiling of $1.011 billion with room to grow over the duration of the contract.
