Argonaut Manufacturing Services Appoints J.D. Mowery to Board of Directors

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Argonaut Manufacturing Services (Argonaut), a U.S.-based contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) providing sterile fill-finish services for injectable biologics and pharmaceuticals, today announced the appointment of J.D. Mowery to its Board of Directors.

Mowery brings more than two decades of leadership experience across global biopharmaceutical manufacturing, CDMO operations, and biotechnology organizations. Most recently, he served as President of the global CDMO division at Bora Pharmaceuticals, where he led strategy, commercial growth, and operations across a multi-site manufacturing network in North America and Asia. Previously, he served as President and CEO of KBI Biopharma and as an Officer of its parent company, JSR Corporation.

His career also includes senior operational leadership positions at AGC Biologics, Juno Therapeutics, and Lonza, spanning biologics, cell and gene therapies, and aseptic manufacturing. Across these roles, he has led organizations through operational growth, capacity expansion, commercialization, and the transition of complex therapies from clinical development to commercial manufacturing.
