Pondurance Adds Warranty Coverage to its MDR Services Offering

Available with select MDR packages, the Pondurance warranty joins 24/7 SOC monitoring, digital forensics and incident response, and the MDR Assurance Program in a single approach to cyber resilience

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pondurance, a leader in Managed Detection and Response (MDR), announced the addition of a warranty program available to select MDR clients on August 1. The warranty, with support from HSB, enables eligible customers to receive reimbursement for eligible expenses in the event of a security incident while using the covered MDR services.

The addition reflects a full-lifecycle approach to cyber risk. Pondurance MDR reduces the likelihood of an attack through continuous monitoring and proactive threat hunting. The existing MDR Assurance Program limits the impact of an incident by putting digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) analysts on a suspected incident immediately and at no charge.

Although Pondurance MDR provides continuous, end-to-end detection and response, no cybersecurity solution can prevent 100% of cyber attacks. According to Verizon’s 2026 Data Breach Investigations Report, ransomware is involved in 48% of all breaches. For most organizations, the practical question is no longer whether an incident will occur, but how quickly they can contain, respond, and recover from it, and how much of the resulting cost they will have to absorb.

The MDR Assurance Program — Every Pondurance MDR client receives up to five hours of DFIR analysis per suspected incident, at no charge, standard in every Pondurance MDR agreement

• The MDR warranty — with select MDR packages, up to $250,000 in reimbursement for certain expenses in event of a covered security breach while using the MDR services.

When a security event is suspected — whether the customer raises the concern, the Pondurance MDR platform flags the activity, or the SOC initiates a hunt through the Pondurance MDR Assurance Program — DFIR analysts engage immediately to determine whether an incident occurred.

Covered expenses may include network event response costs such as forensics, legal guidance, breach notification; cyber extortion–related expenses such as negotiation services and sanctions checks; crisis management and public relations support; ransomware negotiations, system and data restoration; repair or replacement of hardware damaged by malware, etc. Coverage limits are up to $100,000 at the Secure and Defend tiers and up to $250,000 at the Fortify tier.

The warranty is available now with select Pondurance MDR packages in the United States. Customers and prospects should confirm with their Pondurance account team whether their package carries this coverage. Pondurance pilot and proof-of-concept engagements are not eligible for warranty or assurance coverage.
