KBRA Assigns Preliminary Ratings to GCAT 2026-CES1 Trust

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KBRA assigns preliminary ratings to 7 classes of mortgage-backed notes from GCAT 2026-CES1 Trust.

GCAT 2026-CES1 Trust is a $346.6 million RMBS transaction issued by Blue River Mortgage V LLC (BRM) as the co-sponsor (TPG Mortgage Investment Trust, Inc. is the retaining sponsor), and consists entirely of closed-end second lien mortgages (CES; 100.0%). There are two originators comprising over 20% of the pool, Rocket Mortgage, LLC (Rocket Mortgage; 30.7%) and AmeriSave Mortgage Corporation (AmeriSave; 27.0%). The pool will be serviced by NewRez LLC (d/b/a Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing; 69.3%) and Rocket Mortgage, LLC (30.7%). The underlying pool is less than four month seasoned on average and comprises 3,502 loans. The collateral is characterized entirely by fully amortizing, fixed-rate mortgages (FRMs) with 10-year (3.2%), 15-year (5.8%), 20-year (36.2%), and 30-year (54.8%) terms.

KBRA’s rating approach incorporated loan-level analysis of the mortgage pool through its Residential Asset Loss Model (REALM), an examination of the results from third-party loan file due diligence, cash flow modeling analysis of the transaction’s payment structure, reviews of key transaction parties and an assessment of the transaction’s legal structure and documentation. This analysis is further described in our U.S. RMBS Rating Methodology.
