90% of PMOS Patients Report Symptom Improvement in New July Health Outcomes Report
Findings reveal that 60% of PMOS patients were routinely dismissed by healthcare providers before pursuing a different model of care; the report shows trust, lived experience, and personalized care are important in chronic women's healthcare.
TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July Health, a virtual clinic for women aged 18 to 45 facing complex, overlapping chronic hormonal and mental health conditions, today published its inaugural 2026 PMOS Patient Experience & Outcomes Report. Key findings include 90% of patients report improvements in their overall PMOS or hormone-related symptoms, most notably around food noise and binge eating, fatigue, weight management, and blood sugar regulation.
The findings, based on an outcomes evaluation of 73 patients, also reveal a significant trust gap in traditional PMOS care: before working with July Health, 60.3% said providers routinely dismissed them. July Health’s clinical model rebuilds that trust with a proven peer-informed approach wherein clinicians have lived experience with the conditions they treat.
“When patients repeatedly feel dismissed, they stop trusting the healthcare system and start looking elsewhere for answers. We built July Health on the belief that restoring patient trust is the crucial first step to care delivery. These findings give us an early but powerful validation that it's working,” said Julie Mai, RD, CEO, July Health.
Other report highlights include:
- 100% of patients felt genuinely heard and safe discussing their condition with July Health clinicians
- Individual patients reported saving up to 100 hours and $1,000 CAD in personal healthcare costs.
- Patients required fewer PMOS-related appointments, avoided unnecessary new medications, and saw improvements in work and school productivity.
- Several patients reported successful conception after struggling with years of unexplained infertility prior to receiving PMOS care.
Patients rated July Health 4.69 out of 5 for creating a supportive and validating environment and 4.61 out of 5 for understanding their concerns and lived experience.
The report findings echo broader Canadian research showing that 34% of PMOS patients wait more than two years for a diagnosis, and 41% must see three or more physicians before receiving answers. July Health’s report reveals the impact possible when empathetic, peer-informed care is delivered at scale for Millennial and Gen Z women, historically one of the most underserved populations in healthcare.
