The acquisition brings together two organizations with deep roots in mortgage lending and a shared commitment to building lasting customer relationships. For decades, both Gateway and Colonial have helped customers achieve homeownership while providing financial guidance and services to support their long-term financial success.

"Colonial has built an impressive legacy centered on exceptional service, strong community relationships, and helping families and businesses achieve their financial goals," said Kyle Hubbard, Gateway CEO. "We are honored to welcome Colonial’s customers and team members to Gateway and look forward to building on the strengths of both organizations."

Colonial customers will continue to receive the personalized service they have come to expect while gaining access to the resources and capabilities of a growing financial institution committed to relationship banking. The combination strengthens Gateway's presence in Texas and expands its ability to serve customers with a comprehensive suite of financial services, including personal banking, business banking, payment solutions, mortgage lending, treasury management, consumer lending, and wealth management.

The partnership is particularly meaningful given the shared mortgage heritage of both institutions. Gateway has grown into one of the nation's leading mortgage lenders, while Colonial has earned the trust of generations of Texans through its expertise in home financing, commercial lending, and community banking. By bringing together Gateway's scale and resources with Colonial’s strong Texas presence and community-focused approach, the combined organization is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of customers throughout the region.

"Both organizations share a belief that financial services should be built around relationships, trust, and local decision-making," said Jim DuBose, President & CEO of Colonial Savings, FA. "This partnership creates exciting opportunities for our customers, employees, and communities while preserving the values that have been central to Colonial’s success."

The transaction reflects Gateway's continued commitment to strategic growth while maintaining a focus on personalized service, community investment, and helping customers at every stage of their financial journey.

Gateway was advised by Performance Trust Capital Partners, LLC as financial advisor and Otteson Shapiro LLP as legal counsel. Colonial was advised by Olsen Palmer LLC as financial advisor and Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP as legal counsel.

Additional information regarding customer and operational transitions will be communicated directly as integration plans move forward.
