Vector Capital Appoints Kiran Rao as Managing Director and Head of Value Creation

Seasoned Technology Operating Executive to Lead Vector’s Value Creation Engine for the AI Era

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vector Capital Management, L.P. (“Vector”), a leading private equity firm specializing in transformational investments in established software and technology businesses, today announced that Kiran Rao has joined the firm as Managing Director and Head of Value Creation and will serve on the firm’s Management Committee.

Mr. Rao joins Vector from Vista Equity Partners, where he served for five years as Chief Operating Officer of its Operations team and led its AI task force across more than 50 enterprise software companies. Previously, he was an Operating Partner at TPG and a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company.
