Laurel Announces Its Plugin for ChatGPT Enterprise

The Laurel plugin helps lawyers ask where their time went, find the hours that never made it onto a timesheet, and build their own workflows on their work record.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Laurel today announced the Laurel plugin for ChatGPT Enterprise, to combine frontier intelligence with deep legal search and instructions for professional legal analysis and writing.

Lawyers have no shortage of work or ideas for doing it better. By bringing Laurel’s record of captured work together with ChatGPT model capabilities to summarize and question that record, the plugin helps lawyers see where their time went and where recorded time falls short of the work behind it. This gives lawyers more room to pursue the work they have not yet been able to do.

For example, a lawyer can use the Laurel plugin within ChatGPT Enterprise to understand what they worked on for a client that week and review a summary of that activity by client, matter, or application alongside the time entries already recorded. The plugin surfaces the gaps between the two. Entering and submitting time continues in Laurel.

Lawyers no longer have to log into Laurel to see their own work. Questions that used to mean clicking through reports become a question asked in plain language and answered at the moment it comes up. Those already working in ChatGPT can pull their work record into what they are doing on the platform rather than switching tools.

The lawyers who want to go further can build on it. A weekly readout of where the week went, an analysis of which matters are consuming the most time, or a custom agent that reports back every Friday are all things a lawyer can assemble themselves, using their own work record as the input.

The plugin is available to Laurel customers through the ChatGPT plugin directory. In managed ChatGPT workspaces, an administrator enables the plugin before members can install it.
