Eterna Growth Partners Deepens AI Capabilities with the Appointment of Alexandra Eicher as Advisory Director, Co-Head of AI Engineering

Former Apple and NASA engineer joins to build and scale AI systems across Eterna and its portfolio

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eterna Growth Partners (“Eterna”), a private equity firm specializing in middle-market technology investments, today announced the appointment of Alexandra Eicher as Advisory Director, Co-Head of AI Engineering. In her role, Eicher advances Eterna’s buildout of its AI capabilities, bringing dedicated engineering expertise as the firm integrates AI more deeply across its investment platform and portfolio.

Eicher will work directly with Eterna’s investment team and portfolio company leadership to identify high-impact applications of AI and turn them into production-ready systems. Her work will span both strategy and execution, from building internal systems to enhance Eterna’s investment team capabilities to creating reusable models and tools that can scale across portfolio companies to drive revenue, improve operations, and accelerate product innovation.

“Alexandra brings deep, technical expertise and a builder’s outlook to Eterna,” said Darren Battistoni, Managing Director of Eterna. “We see a tremendous amount of opportunity to use AI in practical ways – both in how we operate as a firm and how we partner with our companies. Alexandra understands that deeply, and has the practical mindset and experience to transform that ambition into action across Eterna and our portfolio.”

Eicher most recently served as Founding AI Engineer at Noho Labs, where she architected and led an AI-first research platform for public-equities workflows, converting large volumes of unstructured financial data into structured, investment-grade outputs. Previously, she served as a Director at Cadence, ultimately leading a 40-person team as the company scaled from 10 to 200 employees. Earlier, as a software engineer at Apple, she was a founding engineer for Fitness+ and helped develop and deploy products at a global scale. Alexandra received her B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, following which she began her career at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

“As I join Eterna, I am eager to begin building with the team and setting us on the path to be an AI-native investment firm,” said Alexandra Eicher, Advisory Director, Co-Head of AI Engineering. “We have an opportunity to create systems that lead to greater speed, precision, and efficiency across our portfolio, leading to greater returns and, in turn, benefiting our investors. Joining Darren and the Eterna team presents an opportunity to build off the foundation that has already been laid and grow deeper into the technology industry.”

Eicher will work closely with Brett Eddy, who joined Eterna as AI CTO Advisor in June, as the firm continues to expand its dedicated AI capabilities and reinforce its long-term commitment to technology-driven value creation.
