AM Best to Join Captive Insurance Panel at SCCIA’s 2026 Annual Executive Educational Conference

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will join a panel discussion on captive insurance ratings at the South Carolina Captive Association’s (SCCIA) 2026 Annual Executive Educational Conference, which will take place Sept. 28-30, 2026, in Charleston, SC.

Christopher Baumann, financial analyst, AM Best will be participating on a panel on Tuesday, September 29 at 2:30 pm, “Should you Consider Getting your Captive Rated?” During the session, Baumann will discuss AM Best’s rating process as it applies to captive insurers, as well as rated captive insurers’ performance versus its commercial casualty peers and other related market trends. Baumann has been with AM Best since 2023 and is responsible for the analysis and financial ratings of U.S. property/casualty organizations, with a focus on the commercial casualty and captive markets.

The SCCIA promotes the formation and growth of captive insurance programs within South Carolina.
