GrayRobinson Welcomes Aerospace and Global Business Veteran Matthew Jennings

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GrayRobinson is pleased to announce Matthew Jennings has joined the firm’s Federal Lobbying Team as a senior government affairs advisor. Based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, Jennings brings more than two decades of federal advocacy experience in aerospace, transportation, and global business. He previously led international and government affairs for Etihad Airways and held senior legislative roles with the International Air Transport Association, giving him a distinct, firsthand perspective on federal policy and appropriations and how U.S. policy intersects with global aviation and commerce.

“Matthew's immersion in the aviation, transportation, and global commerce sectors make him exactly the kind of advocate our clients need in Washington,” said GrayRobinson Washington, D.C. Managing Director John Ariale. “He has spent his career transforming complex international and regulatory challenges into solutions and opportunities for airlines, federal agencies, and businesses of every size. Our clients will benefit from that experience from day one.”

“GrayRobinson gives me the platform to serve clients of every size, from established companies to the startups and emerging businesses I've always enjoyed working with,” said Jennings. “I believe in meeting clients where they are, and I'm looking forward to continuing that approach alongside this top-notch team of advisors.”

His work spans highly regulated industries, including aviation and advanced air mobility, airspace integration, commercial aviation, transit, infrastructure, defense, travel and tourism, and technology. Jennings helps clients navigate federal policy environments, advance legislative and administrative priorities, and identify and secure federal funding. He advises clients on strategies to advance business objectives, mitigate regulatory risk, pursue federal funding and procurement opportunities, and engage effectively with Congress and federal agencies. Jennings also works with nonprofit and educational organizations on initiatives that bring together public- and private-sector stakeholders to address issues with both domestic and international reach.

During his tenure with Etihad Airways and the International Air Transport Association, based in the U.S. and Canada, Jennings addressed high-impact legislative and commercial issues affecting international air carriers and the broader aviation industry. Earlier in his career, he served on Capitol Hill, including with the U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

Jennings earned his Master of Arts from George Mason University and his Bachelor of Arts from Elon University. He serves on the board of directors of the South Carolina Business Council and as board treasurer for World Class Scholars.
