  • The partnership gives electrical distributors and manufacturers access to managed services and support for IDEA Exchange implementation, integration, platform administration, and ongoing technical support.
  • Corsica’s role is designed to help IDEA Exchange customers address common EDI adoption barriers, including limited technical resources, ERP changes, new document mappings, eProcurement connections, eCommerce integrations and changing trading partner requirements.

GREENVILLE, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Corsica Technologies, a leading national managed service provider and industry pioneer in AI-enabled managed services, today announced its partnership with IDEA to expand adoption of IDEA Exchange, IDEA’s EDI and supply chain integration platform for the electrical industry.

EDI is essential to how electrical distributors and manufacturers exchange purchase orders, invoices, advance ship notices, and other business-critical information with partners. Yet many organizations face practical barriers to adoption, including limited technical resources, ERP changes, and the cost of maintaining specialized EDI expertise internally. This partnership is designed to give IDEA Exchange customers access to the implementation and managed services support needed to address those challenges.

IDEA Exchange gives the electrical industry a platform for supply chain data exchange built around the needs of distributors and manufacturers. By bringing Corsica into the delivery model, IDEA can extend adoption of IDEA Exchange without adding fixed internal sales and delivery infrastructure, while customers gain access to managed implementation, integration, platform administration, and ongoing technical support. The result is a more supported and flexible path from initial adoption to everyday operation for electrical distributors and manufacturers.

“EDI adoption should not depend on whether an electrical distributor or manufacturer has specialized integration resources already in place,” said Peter Rodenhauser, President and CRO at Corsica Technologies. “The electrical industry depends on accurate, timely data exchange between distributors, manufacturers, and trading partners. Our work with IDEA brings practical integration expertise and ongoing managed services to a market where reliable connections directly affect order accuracy, fulfillment, and customer relationships.”

Corsica’s managed services approach is intended to reduce the operational burden that often keeps EDI initiatives from moving forward. IDEA currently serves more than 400 IDEA Connector unique customers, many of which face evolving integration requirements tied to ERP migrations, new document mappings, eProcurement connections, eCommerce integrations, and changing trading partner demands.

Designed to support mid-market and enterprise organizations with both standard and complex integration needs, Corsica Integration Cloud provides end-to-end managed services for onboarding, integration work, service-level management, and post-implementation assistance across data formats and routing protocols such as EDI, EDIFACT, cXML, IDOC, HTTPS, AS2, and EDI VAN. Corsica’s platform-agnostic approach allows customers to receive support based on their business requirements and existing technical environments rather than a single vendor system.

“IDEA Exchange customers need more than access to an EDI platform, they need implementation expertise, integration knowledge, and ongoing managed services support as trading partner requirements, ERP environments, and digital commerce channels continue to evolve,” said Mike Wentz, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at IDEA. “Corsica brings that delivery depth to the IDEA Exchange ecosystem, helping distributors and manufacturers put IDEA Exchange to work in real operating environments.”
