Dispatch Opens Its Wealth Operations Platform to the Industry With Launch of the Dispatch API

Account opening is the first capability available, with Jump and Wealthbox among the first companies embedding Dispatch-powered custodian execution directly into their platforms

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dispatch, the data infrastructure platform that enables the wealth industry to run revenue-critical workflows, today announced the launch of the Dispatch API, which externalizes the company’s proven platform so wealthtech companies, fintech providers, and technology-forward registered investment advisors (RIAs) can embed its capabilities directly into their own products and workflows. Account opening is the first capability available via the Dispatch API, allowing companies to deliver essential custodian workflows within the technology experiences their customers already use, with additional capabilities coming soon.

Companies across wealth management technology increasingly want to own more of the workflows that sit on the critical path to revenue, but the infrastructure required to execute those workflows remains difficult and costly to build. Executing critical workflows requires companies to connect to fragmented custodian systems, standardize and reconcile financial data, validate it against complex requirements, orchestrate actions across multiple channels, and govern the entire process. The Dispatch API gives companies a way to adopt this infrastructure rather than build it internally, allowing them to focus their resources on the experiences and products they want to create.

“Dispatch has always been focused on making a firm’s data usable and turning that data into action,” said Rob Nance, co-founder and chief executive officer of Dispatch. “We proved that our platform can do this inside some of the largest RIAs in the country, supporting the operational workflows that directly drive revenue for their businesses. The Dispatch API is the next chapter of that story: opening the infrastructure we have already built so other companies can bring execution into their own products without having to recreate it themselves.”

Technology-driven experiences are becoming the new wedge for advisory firms to earn more, and earn sooner. As wealthtech companies race to transform the advisor and client experience, the Dispatch API gives them the infrastructure to bring their ideas to life – allowing them to run operational workflows behind whatever experience they can imagine. That requires more than a simple API connection. Dispatch’s platform brings together five critical layers: the translation layer, the ontology, the firm graph, agentic action, and the audit and control pane. Together, these layers enable technology companies to translate data across systems, understand the relationships and context within a firm, take action across operational workflows, and maintain the controls and auditability required to execute revenue-critical work. The Dispatch API makes these capabilities available to companies building the next generation of wealth technology, with account opening as the starting point.

Jump and Wealthbox are the first two software companies leveraging the Dispatch API to embed account opening directly into the technology experiences advisors already use. Each integration demonstrates how Dispatch can power custodian execution from a different starting point in the advisor workflow.

Through Jump, the leading AI (artificial intelligence) platform for advisors and financial services professionals, an advisor can open a custodian account live with the client on the call, turning a process that used to take hours into minutes. Jump turns the client conversation into an end-to-end account-opening workflow. It combines what the client shares live with information the firm already has, validates the application against custodian requirements through Dispatch and gets it signed before the meeting ends. From conversation to submitted paperwork, nothing is re-entered and no work is handed off between disconnected systems, freeing advisors and home-office capacity for more clients.

“Advisors should not have to leave the conversation, reenter information across multiple systems and manually initiate the next step for a client,” said Parker Ence, co-founder and chief executive officer of Jump. “By building on the Dispatch API, we’re enabling real-time account opening directly from the advisor workflow, connecting the intelligence captured during a client meeting with the infrastructure needed to execute that next step. This creates a more seamless experience for advisors and their clients, while relying on Dispatch to manage the complexity of custodian validation and execution behind the scenes.”

Through Wealthbox, an advisor can open an account directly from the client record already in front of them, using the data the customer relationship management (CRM) already holds. Wealthbox supplies the client information required to initiate the account-opening process, while Dispatch validates the data, confirms the account meets custodian requirements, routes the submission through the appropriate channel and tracks its progress through funding.

“Every account opening starts with the client information already living in Wealthbox, the source of truth advisors rely on,” said John Rourke, co-founder and chief executive officer of Wealthbox. “Building on the Dispatch API means that information does not have to be copied into a separate system to get an account opened. Dispatch takes what is already accurate in the CRM and carries it through custodian validation and execution, so the advisor’s next step is confirming, not retyping.”

The Dispatch platform is already used by half of the ten largest RIAs for account opening and advisor transitions. Tens of billions of dollars in assets have moved through Dispatch rails across hundreds of thousands of accounts opened, establishing Dispatch as a proven solution for opening accounts at major U.S. custodians. Additional platform capabilities will become available via the Dispatch API over time.
