AM Best to Present at IASA Combined Mid-Atlantic and Metro NY/NJ Fall Chapter Meeting

OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will participate at the IASA Metro NY/NJ & Mid Atlantic 2026 Combined Fall Meeting, which will take place on Sept. 28-29, 2026, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.

Connor Brach, associate director, AM Best, will lead a session, titled, “US Property/Casualty Benchmarking: A Detailed Look at How Different Building Block Assessments Interact For Typical Rating Levels,” during which he will discuss the statistical distribution of the main building block assessments behind AM Best’s ratings – balance sheet strength, operating performance, business profile and enterprise risk management. The session also will cover how these building blocks typically intersect in the rating process, as well as the most important drivers that most commonly lead to positive or negative rating actions. The session is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EDT on Sept. 28, 2026. Brach has been with AM Best since 2015 and is responsible for the rating analysis of a diversified portfolio of property/casualty insurance companies, notably captive insurers, as well as medical professional liability and other specialty commercial lines writers.
