Codestrap Names Wes Kapsa Chief Revenue Officer as Enterprise AI Customers Recognize Need to Break Through Architectural Wall
Appointment accelerates go-to-market for the Value Factory, Codestrap's innovative platform for AI-human software development, as Fortune 500 companies confront the cost, risk, and talent impacts of incumbent agent-based coding tools
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Codestrap – a pioneering software development company that delivers specialized solutions to enterprise customers without the cost, risk, and human displacement common to the industry, today announced the appointment of Wes Kapsa as Chief Revenue Officer. The strategic hire comes as enterprise AI adoption grapples with real limits on cost, consistency and risk, and as demand grows from Fortune 500 companies in regulated and non-regulated industries for an approach built to solve them.
Enterprise AI is hitting a structural wall: costs keep climbing, output remains inconsistent, and risk exposure is rising fast enough that insurers and regulators are adding broad AI exclusions to corporate policies.

Enterprise AI is hitting a structural wall: costs keep climbing, output remains inconsistent, and risk exposure is rising fast enough that insurers and regulators are adding broad AI exclusions to corporate policies. The people companies hired to do the work are being sidelined rather than supported, and, most importantly, business leaders are struggling to point to tangible outcomes. Through its client engagements, Codestrap has concluded these issues are architectural, not something better prompts, model routing or bigger models will fix, and sees the next 12 months as the window in which companies decide whether their AI systems become assets they can underwrite or liabilities they can’t fully explain or justify.
"We believe the industry needs another cycle of innovation before AI adoption delivers on what it originally promised," said Connor Deeks, co-founder and CEO of Codestrap. "We built the Value Factory to lead that cycle."
The Value Factory is Codestrap's platform for AI-augmentative software development, delivered with a native agentic system of record. Instead of the open-ended "agent loop" that all other coding tools rely on, which spiral costs, create vast amounts of tech debt, and provide no talent cultivation for junior developers, it runs on durable state machines and encodes domain expertise directly into development workflows, with guardrails that keep the work scoped and traceable. Codestrap built its Value Factory to compete on four things: cost, quality, velocity and talent cultivation.
As CRO, Kapsa will own the company’s go-to-market strategy and will be responsible for how customers experience Codestrap from the first conversation through delivery and beyond. He brings nearly 30 years in enterprise software sales, most of it spent taking disruptive technologies to market and building the teams that scale with them.
"I've spent 30 years watching enterprises pay for software that never quite matched how their business runs," said Kapsa. "Codestrap builds the system around the business and gets paid on what it produces. That's the change I wanted to be part of, and it's why I invested before I joined."
Kapsa spent 10 years at Oracle, qualifying for President's Club in seven of them and leading the company's largest cloud pursuit in 2012. He went on to hold sales leadership roles at NetSuite and Plex Systems, where he built out national sales teams, before joining Anaplan in 2017 as Regional Vice President. Over the next several years he helped take Anaplan from $75 million to $850 million in ARR, through its IPO and eventual acquisition by Thoma Bravo for $10.7 billion, building the company's commercial sales organization from two people to nearly 30 in 18 months and earning recognition as Anaplan's Global VP of the Year.
He later served as Chief Revenue Officer at Bright Machines and most recently ran the global sales organization at Wayground, a learning platform used in more than 150 countries, before joining Codestrap.
