RegASK Opens Third Annual State of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Survey

Industry benchmark returns with new Regulatory Agility Index; findings to publish in November

NEW YORK & SINGAPORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RegASK, the AI-native regulatory platform for life sciences and consumer products companies, today opened its third annual State of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance survey, an annual industry benchmark examining the risks, priorities and resources shaping regulatory affairs across life sciences and consumer products.

The study has become a reference point for regulatory leaders and the business press, with findings from last year’s edition cited in The Wall Street Journal’s Morning Risk Report.

The 2026 study found that 37% of organizations had missed at least one regulatory requirement in the previous year, while only 7% could identify a new regulation and execute a response plan within 48 hours.

This year’s survey examines whether the gap between regulatory workload and resources is closing and where AI is creating measurable value in regulatory work. It also explores how AI adoption is reshaping the regulatory function and its strategic role within the business, alongside the impact of tariffs and trade policy shifts on regulatory operations and market access.

New this year, the Regulatory Agility Index will benchmark how effectively organizations are equipped to respond to regulatory change. Participants can opt in to receive their score alongside the full report.

“Regulatory teams are facing a faster pace of change, greater complexity and real consequences when requirements are missed,” said Caroline Shleifer, founder and chief executive officer of RegASK. “As AI moves from experimentation into regulatory operations, this year’s survey will examine where it is delivering measurable value, how governance is evolving, and whether it is ultimately making organizations more agile.”

The 2027 State of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Survey is open to regulatory, compliance and business leaders across regulated industries worldwide through Oct. 2, 2026. Findings will be published in the 2027 State of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Report later this year, providing an industry benchmark on how organizations are adapting to regulatory change, AI adoption and evolving operating models.

Regulatory affairs, compliance and quality professionals across life sciences and consumer products are invited to participate and contribute their perspective to the benchmark.

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes and adapts to each respondent’s role. All responses are confidential and reported only in aggregate.
