Scott Vicknair Personal Injury Lawyers Partners with WDSU to Launch All-Star Teacher Award Honoring Louisiana Educators

NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Scott Vicknair Personal Injury Lawyers is proud to partner with WDSU for the All-Star Teacher Award, a new initiative created to recognize outstanding Louisiana educators who go above and beyond for their students, schools, and communities.

The statewide award allows students, parents, colleagues, and community members to nominate a deserving Louisiana teacher for recognition. The winning educator will receive a $500 gift card as a special thank-you for the dedication, passion, and positive impact they bring to their classroom and community.

For founding partner David Vicknair, supporting Louisiana educators has a deeply personal meaning. His mother, Mrs. Martha Vicknair, spent more than 30 years as a Louisiana teacher, giving Vicknair a firsthand look at the time and commitment educators give to their students.

“Teachers have always held a special place in my heart,” said Vicknair. “My mom was a teacher for more than 30 years, so I saw firsthand the difference a great teacher can make in a child’s life. This award gives us another opportunity to say thank you and shine a light on educators who give so much to their students every day.”

The All-Star Teacher Award will feature two award cycles, one in the fall and another in the spring. Nominations for the fall award open in September, followed by voting in October and November and the announcement of the winner in December. The spring cycle will begin with nominations in January 2027, with a second winner announced in May.

The initiative continues Scott Vicknair Personal Injury Lawyers’ commitment to supporting educators throughout Louisiana, including its annual High Seas and ABCs campaign, which recently surprised a New Orleans teacher with a free cruise in recognition of her dedication to her students.
