SecurityScorecard Names Sarah Walker President as Company Expands Its Mission for the AI Era

Former Slack COO joins founder-led cybersecurity company to scale its next phase of growth as AI expands the enterprise unit of trust.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SecurityScorecard, the global leader in threat-informed third-party risk management, today announced that Sarah Walker has joined the company as President. Walker will partner with Founder and CEO Dr. Aleksandr Yampolskiy to lead the company through its next phase of growth.

SecurityScorecard pioneered the cybersecurity ratings category, making security measurable and giving enterprises a common language for third-party risk. AI is now expanding what enterprises must trust and how they assess, manage and act on that risk.

Enterprises don't just trust vendors anymore — they trust software, digital identities and autonomous agents, with new connections and attack surfaces multiplying by the day. Understanding what to trust, and acting on it, now has to happen continuously, not periodically.

That's SecurityScorecard's next opportunity: extending its ratings leadership into TITAN AI, the Enterprise Third-Party Risk Management Platform built for this era, backed by MAX, the company's managed service for expert-led vendor assessment and remediation.

"We built SecurityScorecard with a simple belief: companies should be able to understand cyber risk with the same clarity they understand financial risk," said Yampolskiy. "We built the cybersecurity ratings category around that idea. AI is now expanding what enterprises need to trust at extraordinary speed, from companies and software to digital identities and autonomous agents. Sarah brings a rare combination of commercial leadership, operating depth and experience building businesses through major technology transitions. She is the right partner to help lead SecurityScorecard through this next chapter."

Walker joins SecurityScorecard at a critical point in the company's evolution. As President, Walker will lead SecurityScorecard's global business spanning sales, marketing, implementation, customer success & support, and ecosystem partnerships as well as finance, M&A, people, legal and business operations.

At SecurityScorecard, Sarah will focus on strengthening the ratings business that built the category, accelerating enterprise adoption of TITAN AI for continuous, predictive third-party risk management, scaling MAX, increasing platform adoption, strengthening customer retention and expansion, growing the company's partner ecosystem, improving the end-to-end customer experience, pursuing strategic M&A opportunities and building the operating model needed to support SecurityScorecard's next phase of growth.

"SecurityScorecard created a category by changing how enterprises understand third-party cyber risk. What drew me to the company is the scale of the opportunity ahead," said Walker.

"AI is rapidly expanding the enterprise unit of trust. Companies increasingly need to understand the risk associated with vendors, software, identities and AI agents, and then turn that intelligence into action. The attack surface is growing at the same time that the speed of business is accelerating.

"SecurityScorecard has the data, technology, customer relationships and market position to address this challenge at scale. I am thrilled to partner with Alex and the team to build on that foundation, deliver greater outcomes for our customers and create the next phase of durable growth."

Walker brings deep experience building, scaling and transforming global businesses. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer of Slack during a defining period for the business, helping drive sustained double-digit growth, bringing Slack's AI products to market and helping lead the business through its integration following Salesforce's $27 billion acquisition.

Previously, Walker founded Salesforce's Private Equity business, starting with a team of three and scaling it into a global, multibillion-dollar business. She began her career in emerging-markets private equity before spending close to a decade in corporate finance and commercial operations at General Electric.

SecurityScorecard's next phase builds on a strong foundation. The company serves thousands of organizations globally, including over 70% of the Fortune 100, and is backed by leading technology and growth investors including Sequoia Capital, Google Ventures, Silver Lake Partners, Riverwood Capital and Evolution Equity Partners.

As enterprises rethink how they manage risk in the AI era, SecurityScorecard's mission is expanding with them: helping enterprises continuously understand, manage and act on risk across everything they trust.
