Thomas Brennan Joins Securian Financial to Lead Institutional Retirement Solutions Distribution, Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Securian Financial today announced that Thomas P. Brennan III, a veteran retirement industry leader, has joined the company as head of distribution, strategic initiatives & partnerships for the company’s Institutional Retirement Solutions business.

A member of the Institutional Retirement Solutions leadership team, Brennan leads distribution strategy, strategic partnerships and commercial growth efforts for the business, which offers retirement income, stable value, pension risk transfer, nonqualified funding agreements and related institutional solutions. His responsibilities include growing the company’s market presence and deepening relationships with financial professionals, consultants, recordkeepers and strategic partners.

Brennan brings extensive experience in retirement plan distribution, strategic partnerships, marketing and business development. He’s held executive positions with several insurance and financial services companies, including Transamerica, Ascensus, Definiti and TIFIN @Work. Brennan has also provided growth and commercialization-oriented strategic advisory, consulting and fractional chief revenue officer services to a variety of organizations across the financial services and financial technology landscape.

Brennan earned his bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he played Division 1 soccer. He is an advisory council member for Harvard Business Review, has coached/trained youth soccer for more than 20 years and resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with his family.
