Appointment adds deep multifamily and capital markets expertise to Covenant's Investment Committee

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Covenant Capital Group (“Covenant”), a Nashville-based investment manager focused on multifamily real estate, announced that Jeremy Goldberg will be joining Covenant as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer on September 8. Jeremy is a seasoned real estate investment and capital markets executive with 30 years of experience across institutional investment advisory, multifamily real estate, a publicly traded apartment REIT, and banking.

Jeremy will be joining Covenant from StepStone Group, a global leader in private markets, with an experienced real estate team that creates customized solutions for institutional investors. At StepStone, Jeremy led relationships with major public pension clients, provided due diligence across U.S. real estate strategies, and served as the team's multifamily specialist. Prior to StepStone, Jeremy led corporate finance and investor relations for Associated Estates Realty Corporation, a publicly traded apartment REIT. His responsibilities there included follow-on equity offerings, secured and unsecured debt placements, and managing investor and sell-side analyst relationships.

In his role at Covenant, Jeremy will bring a broad skillset of capital markets expertise, sound investment experience, and multifamily knowledge. He will lead the Capital Markets & Transactions team, overseeing lender relationships, execution of property purchases, refinancings, and dispositions, and debt strategies for Covenant. As a member of Covenant's Investment Committee, Jeremy will utilize his multifamily investment experience to assist in advancing Covenant's broader business strategy.
