Brooks Running and the Seattle Seahawks Join Forces to Bring the Spirit of Running to Gameday

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brooks Running, the Seattle-based global leader in performance running gear, and the Seattle Seahawks have joined forces in a new Pacific Northwest partnership that brings the spirit of running to gameday while celebrating the power of movement.

As an Official Running Partner of the Seahawks, Brooks will honor the transformative power of running, community connection and the pursuit of excellence. Through in-stadium experiences, youth sports recognition programs and community giving initiatives, the partnership reflects Brooks’ belief that forward momentum on the field starts with the run.

At the heart of the gameday experience, Brooks will bring its running heritage to connect the 12s to the energizing moments that define the Seahawks and reinforce the importance of forward movement; one play at a time.

This new partnership comes as Brooks announces Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp as part of a trio of new global athlete ambassadors, including WNBA forward Maddy Westbeld, and Premier League footballer Oscar Bobb. Representing three of the world’s most popular sports, the athletes will partner with Brooks to inspire runners everywhere to pursue what makes them feel most alive.

Beyond the stadium, Brooks and the Seahawks will invest in the next generation of Washington athletes and coaches who make a lasting impact in their communities. Each week during the high school football season, Brooks will present the Seahawks’ Coach of the Week program, recognizing two exceptional coaches and their teams. Brooks will provide footwear and gear for recipient coaching staff in addition to the $1,000 donation to the selected program.

The partnership will support the continued growth of girls' flag football through the Seahawks' Girls Flag Football Coach and Player of the Year recognition program, celebrating individuals who exemplify leadership, dedication and athletic achievement. All Coaches and Players of the Year for both tackle and flag will receive $2,000 donations.

The Seahawks will also amplify Brooks’ existing Future Run Team Grant program with recognition at a winter home game. Future Run provides gear and a $1,000 grant to underserved high school track and cross-country teams across the U.S., including 15 grants to Washington schools each season.
