Independent Study Finds Organizations Achieved 144% ROI with Insight Flex for Devices

Independent research quantifies significant cost savings, operational efficiencies and improved employee experience; newly awarded U.S. patent underscores Insight's innovation in device lifecycle intelligence

CHANDLER, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ: NSIT) today announced findings from a commissioned Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study conducted by Forrester Consulting that found a three year composite organization representative of interviewed customers with experience using Insight Flex for Devices achieved a 144% return on investment (ROI), $1.6 million in net present value (NPV), $2.8 million in benefits, and less than a six-month payback period over three years.

The study comes as organizations face mounting pressure to optimize IT spending, improve employee experiences, and gain greater visibility into increasingly distributed device environments. Insight Flex for Devices helps organizations simplify device lifecycle management through a comprehensive subscription-based offering that combines procurement, deployment, support, recovery, asset intelligence and lifecycle optimization.

"Today's IT leaders are being asked to do more with less while supporting a workforce that expects seamless technology experiences," said Bob Bogle, Vice President, Global Devices Solution Line, Insight. "We believe the Forrester findings validate what our customers are experiencing every day: when organizations gain greater visibility, automation and control across the device lifecycle, they can reduce costs, improve productivity and free IT teams to focus on higher-value initiatives."

According to the study, organizations leveraging Insight Flex for Devices realized several measurable benefits, including:

  • A 50% reduction in IT labor required for device lifecycle management.
  • A 50% reduction in end-user device downtime.
  • Device lifecycle extensions of six to 12 months through improved visibility into device performance and health.
  • Device recovery rate improvements from 70% to 98%.
  • Reduced excess inventory from 10% to 3%, helping optimize hardware investments and improve asset utilization.

The study also identified unquantified benefits including improved compliance, reduced operational complexity, increased device standardization, enhanced sustainability practices, and greater visibility into asset lifecycle management.

According to a director of IT operations at a staffing and recruiting firm, who was quoted in the study, “With the combination of their advanced asset portal, the inventory reports that we get, the other reporting, and then these kinds of equipment bundles, there is a savings there because we know exactly what we have when we need to order more. We’re not carrying extra inventory for months that we don’t need.”

In addition to the study findings, Insight recently received U.S. Patent No. 12,646,027 for systems and methods related to electronic device tracking and status analysis. The patent covers technology that automates the aggregation, analysis and management of device lifecycle data from multiple systems and sources, helping organizations gain deeper visibility into device status, inventory, usage, and lifecycle events.

The patented technology supports capabilities delivered through Insight's Advanced Asset Management (AAM) solution, which aggregates data from customer environments, OEM warranty systems, leasing providers, shipping carriers, disposal partners and Insight services to create a unified view of an organization's device fleet.
