Gloo Launches Gloo Code - Agentic Coding and Optimized Agents that Make Your Tokens Go Farther

Hundreds of developers will put Gloo Code to work as the 30-day Gloo AI Hackathon build window opens September 8.

BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today, hundreds of developers, ministry leaders, and creators from around the world officially begin the 30-day virtual build window of the Gloo AI Hackathon 2026, building toward the in-person finale in Boulder, Colorado, October 6–8. To power that build, Gloo (Nasdaq: GLOO), a leading technology platform for the faith and flourishing ecosystem, today announced Gloo Code, a new agentic building capability within Gloo AI Studio that helps developers get more from their tokens by pairing purpose-built agents with the right model for each task.

Gloo Code combines purpose-built agents with the most effective and efficient leading models to match development workflows with models based on workload and complexity. AI coding tools are becoming standard, with 84% of developers using or planning to use them this year, but most organizations still lack a clear way to manage cost, route tasks efficiently, or explain variable, enterprise token usage to leadership.

In preliminary testing on Terminal-Bench 2.1, Gloo Code achieved approximately 70% at half the cost of comparable frontier models, including Gemini 3 Pro, Anthropic's Sonnet 5, and OpenAI 5.6 Luna. Compared with those published results, Gloo Code completed the benchmark at 58% to 67% lower cost, while leading frontier models delivered limited accuracy gains.

"Builders shouldn’t have to choose between the best model, a manageable bill, and protecting their IP and creative ideas,” said Alex Cook, Senior Director of Developer & AI Research at Gloo. “Gloo Code does the model and agent optimization underneath the work so builders can focus on what they’re actually trying to ship. The goal is simple: build more without burning through your tokens.”

This lower cost does not come at the expense of quality. Gloo Code is evaluated and architected to take the lift out of picking your harness, model, and model provider. “We found that thoughtful planning and well-defined specs are powerful; they help agents make better use of the underlying models’ reasoning capabilities,” said Cook.

“Gloo Code has helped our global teams across the U.S., Canada and India streamline AI development and have predictable spend,” said Manoj Velumani, Founder of The Ark Enterprise. “The agents Gloo has built are excellent at helping us focus on our business without picking the tool of the day. We’ve successfully leveraged Gloo AI for customer pilots across schools, ministries and nonprofits, and the Gloo AI team has quickly become a trusted partner for us in the faith tech space.”

Engineering leaders can worry less about usage limits or variable enterprise costs with flexible, generous plans that make your tokens go farther. Rather than choosing between enterprise privacy or fixed and predictable pricing, Gloo Code gives leaders both.

Gloo Code is built for scale and runs on the same platform infrastructure powering Gloo 360, Barna, Servant, and Midwestern. It is available now with the introduction of our new Gloo Code plans for individuals and teams — https://studio.ai.gloo.com/products/gloocode — and is live today for the 500+ builders joining the Gloo AI Hackathon's virtual build window, ahead of the in-person event in Boulder, CO, October 6–8.
