Valley Bank Signs Three-Year Sponsorship Agreement with Rutgers University’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics

MORRISTOWN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Valley National Bank today announced it has entered into a three-year agreement to be an Official Partner of Rutgers Athletics. The partnership was secured by Scarlet Knight Enterprises, which manages multimedia rights, corporate partnerships, ticket strategy, and NIL initiatives.

Through this agreement, Valley will have prominent signage and visibility at all Rutgers football and men’s basketball home games, including a videoboard feature that will spotlight a local small business. The partnership provides Valley with access to one of the largest continuous audiences in the state, including hundreds of thousands of fans in attendance at Rutgers campus venues each year and a network of more than 383,000 alumni who reside in New Jersey. Big Ten television coverage can extend the Valley brand to an audience of over 45 million households nationwide. The partnership kicks off at the first home football game on September 3rd when Rutgers hosts the University of Massachusetts.

“As the largest bank headquartered in New Jersey, we are proud to partner with the state’s largest university and an institution that plays such an important role in the communities we serve,” said Curt Lang, Chief Banking Officer, New Jersey, Valley Bank. “For nearly 100 years, Valley has been deeply committed to supporting New Jersey’s businesses, consumers, and communities. We want small and middle market businesses, nonprofits, and consumers across New Jersey to know that they have a financial partner with deep local roots, a strong understanding of the market, and the expertise and resources to help them navigate what’s next. As a relationship-driven bank, we believe banking is about more than financial products. It’s about understanding people, businesses, and organizations and being there to help them achieve their goals.”

“Our partnership with Rutgers builds on the momentum of the new brand campaign we launched earlier this year and reinforces Valley’s longstanding commitment to the people and communities of New Jersey,” said Collyn Gilbert, Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer, Valley Bank. “It gives us the opportunity to connect with thousands of Rutgers students, alumni, fans, and families while supporting the university’s athletic programs and celebrating the pride and spirit that brings New Jerseyans together.”

This relationship underscores Valley’s commitment to investing in the institutions, businesses, and communities that make New Jersey a great place to live, work, and build for the future.

“We’re proud to partner with an institution that shares deep New Jersey roots,” said Fred Mangione, President & CEO, Scarlet Knight Enterprises. “Rutgers and Valley share a strong commitment to the communities we serve, and this partnership brings together two local brands that understand the importance of investing in the people and places that make our state special. We look forward to working together to create an even greater impact across the Garden State.”
