Mutual of Omaha Names Kandhari Chief Information Officer

OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Veteran technology and transformation leader Chetan D. Kandhari has been named Chief Information Officer at Mutual of Omaha, Chairman and CEO James Blackledge announced.

Kandhari most recently served as Chief AI and Digital Transformation Officer at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co., where he has held a variety of technology leadership roles including SVP and CIO for Enterprise Applications, and CIO for Personal Lines and Direct Distribution.

Prior to joining Nationwide in 2005, Kandhari held technology and consulting roles at Ernst & Young and Diamond Technology Partners. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Muskingum College, a master’s degree in computer science from Miami University of Ohio and an MBA from The Ohio State University.
