Adocia (Euronext Paris: FR0011184241 – ADOC, the “Company”), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the research and development of innovative therapeutic solutions for the treatment of diabetes and obesity, today announced changes to the composition of its Board of Directors, decided at the Board meeting held on August 18, 2026.
Ekaterina Smirnyagina has stepped down from her position as Director after thirteen years of service, in consultation with the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors has co-opted Maureen Deehan as an independent Director. Her co-optation as Director will be submitted for shareholders’ approval at the next Annual shareholders’ meeting of Adocia.
In addition, Suman Shirodkar, M.B., B.S., Ph.D., has been appointed as Board Observer. Her candidacy as Director will be submitted at the next Annual shareholders’ meeting of Adocia.
The Board of Directors now comprises six Directors (four men and two women), including five independent members, and one Board Observer.

About Maureen Deehan, Ph.D.
Dr. Deehan is a qualified biotechnology and pharmaceutical professional with 25 years of drug development and commercialization experience. Since March 2025, she has been an independent Director at TregShield Bio., a US based company with a tissue-selective, antibody platform, for the treatment of inflammatory and infectious diseases. Dr Deehan obtained her PhD from the Faculty of Medicine at Glasgow University, and subsequently spent 8 years in academic research before moving into industry. She has gained expertise in all stages of the drug development cycle, across a broad range of therapeutic areas and her last 11 years have been spent in global corporate development and C-suite roles at Novimmune SA, Nordic Nanovector ASA and Vivtex Corporation. In May 2024, as the CEO of Vivtex Corporation, she was awarded the Elizabeth Elting award for the most promising female CEO of a US Life Sciences, start-up company. She has gained a successful track record in business development and deal-making, for product and technology platform transactions, with a range of companies including a recent $2.1 billion partnership with Novo Nordisk for oral obesity drugs.
About Suman Shirodkar, M.B., B.S., Ph.D.
Dr. Shirodkar is a physician-scientist and executive with over 25 years of experience in product development, business development, commercialization and general management in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. She held senior roles at McKinsey and Co, Pfizer, Novartis and the Medicines Company with experience across early portfolio strategy, late-stage product development and approval, and global commercialization. She became the CEO of Cambridge Epigenetix (now Biomodal) and also served as the CEO and Co-Founder of Larkspur Biosciences. Additionally, she serves on the Boards and is a strategic advisor to several biotech companies, including NanoPhoria, which recently closed a €83.5 million Series A financing. She also serves as a Trustee & Board Member for Prostate Cancer Research U.K. and U.S. Suman holds a medical degree (M.B., B.S.) from the University of Bombay and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
