BioHouston Announces the Return of WISE, Celebrating the Women Shaping Houston’s Future in Scientific Discovery, Innovation and Leadership

The 12th Annual Women in Science with Excellence (WISE) Luncheon to Honor Emerging Leaders, Excellence in Innovation, and STEM Leadership Will Be Held on September 29, 2026

On September 29, 2026, BioHouston will bring together Houston’s innovation community for the 12th Annual Women in Science with Excellence (WISE) Luncheon at Hotel ZaZa, honoring exceptional women whose leadership, accomplishment, and impact are shaping the future of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

For more than a decade, WISE has recognized the remarkable women driving progress across life sciences, engineering, energy, space, technology, academia, and entrepreneurship. Past honorees have included astronauts, pioneering researchers, physicians, educators, inventors, and executives whose contributions have helped position Houston as a global center for innovation.

This year's awards will recognize honorees in three categories:

• Emerging Leader – Rising professionals demonstrating exceptional promise and impact early in their careers
• Excellence in Innovation – Leaders whose work has driven meaningful advancements, discoveries, or breakthroughs within their field
• STEM Leadership Award – Distinguished leaders whose careers reflect sustained excellence, influence, mentorship, and lasting contributions in STEM fields

Honorees will be selected by a distinguished panel of senior executives and leaders representing diverse industries and perspectives across Houston's innovation ecosystem.
