TopLine MD Physician Dr. Rolando De Leon Honored by HCA Florida Mercy Hospital

Labor and Delivery Hospital Wing Dedicated in Dr. De Leon’s Honor

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The TopLine MD Alliance, a group of physicians who came together to make healthcare experiences better for patients, has announced that alliance member Rolando De Leon, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. has been honored by HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami. The hospital has dedicated its Labor & Delivery Wing in the name of Dr. De Leon in recognition of his commitment to serving patients and the medical community in South Florida for more than 35 years.

A Board Certified OBGYN, Dr. De Leon was a founder of TopLine MD. Since then, he has helped the organization grow from a handful of practices to nearly 300 clinical centers with more than 850 providers. Today’s members span such specialties as women’s health, primary care, pediatrics, dermatology, urology, allergy and surgical specialties.

Dr. De Leon served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for both HCA Mercy Hospital and HCA Plantation General Hospital from 2011 to 2024. He joined the Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD) in 2020 as the Founding Chair/Clinical Professor, for the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and cherishes the opportunity to mentor and guide medical students towards their chosen careers. Most recently Dr. De Leon was given the honor of being the Distinguished Speaker at the NSU-MD Class of 2030 White Coat Ceremony.

Born in Cuba and raised in Virginia from an early age, Dr. De Leon received his BS in Biology from Virginia Tech and his MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1982. He took his residency training at UM/JMH where afterward, he remained on faculty for several years. Beyond clinical OBGYN, his academic interests include clinical embryology and reproductive physiology.
