Construction Industry Veteran Cathy Orquiola Joins McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. (McCarthy), one of the premier commercial construction companies in the U.S., is pleased to announce that Cathy Orquiola is joining the firm. With more than 30 years of construction leadership, she brings a strong track record of building high-performing teams, growing new markets and leading complex operations at scale. Orquiola joins the builder’s executive committee and will report to McCarthy Chairman and CEO Ray Sedey.

Drawing on her extensive experience across concrete, civil, electrical and steel, Orquiola joins McCarthy as Regional CEO, serving as executive sponsor for McCarthy’s self-perform leadership team, partnering with regional and national leaders to collaborate, share best practices and continue to strengthen the builder’s long-standing commitment to the craft of building. In addition, she will bring her extensive experience in the data center market to support McCarthy’s mission critical leadership team.

Prior to joining McCarthy, Orquiola served as western regional president and board member at PCL Construction Services, where she led offices in Arizona, California, Hawaii and Washington. Throughout her career, she has delivered a variety of complex projects across multiple delivery models, including public-private partnerships (P3) and design-build, and built high-performing teams through innovation, operational excellence and talent development.
