Japan Maritime Daily to Host International Shipping Seminar in Singapore on October 5, 2026

Registration is now open for “Charting the Course for the Future of Maritime,” featuring senior maritime leaders from ONE, SGX, Kpler and other international organizations.

TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Japan Maritime Daily (JMD), Japan’s leading maritime newspaper, will host an international seminar in Singapore on Monday, October 5, 2026. Supported by Singapore Exchange (SGX), the event will focus on “Emerging Transport Demands,” examining major shipping initiatives and the future of maritime transport through presentations and a panel discussion.

The keynote address will be delivered by Till Ole Barrelet, CEO of Ocean Network Express (ONE). Kenneth Ng, Director of SGX Group, will also give a presentation, while Roslan Khasawneh, Principal Heavy Distillates Analyst at Kpler, will speak on “How Geopolitical Disruption Is Reshaping Asian Shipping.”

A panel discussion moderated by Yohei Misaki, Principal Editor of The Japan Maritime Daily, will feature Miki Ogura, Managing Director of MOL Energia; Ioannis Stefanou, Managing Director of Wallem Ship Management; Jigo Hayashi, Joint General Manager of Tokyo Century Corporation; and Cheong Jin Yu, Head of Baltic Exchange Asia. The panel will discuss emerging transport demands and key industry challenges amid an increasingly uncertain global environment.
