ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ministry Brands, the leading provider of church management software and online giving solutions, has appointed Brett Bowman as chief financial officer (CFO) and Chris Wassenaar as general counsel. With nearly 60 years of cumulative experience, their financial, operational, and legal expertise positions Ministry Brands to build on its momentum while continually evolving alongside the needs of the churches and nonprofits it serves.
“Brett and Chris are accomplished professionals whose experience and track records would have afforded them no shortage of opportunities, so I am delighted to welcome them both to Ministry Brands,” said Chris Bacon, CEO of Ministry Brands. “What makes our work different is the opportunity to apply world-class expertise in service of something bigger. Brett and Chris both understand and connect deeply with that purpose, and we’re thrilled to add their leadership to a team equally committed to business excellence and meaningful impact.”
As CFO, Bowman oversees Ministry Brands' financial strategy and operations, drawing on experience that includes his most recent position as CFO at Apptega and key leadership roles at Dell Technologies, GoDaddy, and Woot, an Amazon Company. He holds a law degree from the University of Arkansas, a master’s degree in international business and information technology systems from Georgia State University, and is a member of the Finance Canada Payments Consultative Committee.
“2026 has already been an important year for Ministry Brands, from opening our new corporate headquarters in Milton, Georgia, to launching our Equip AI platform,” added Bacon. “Brett and Chris are joining us at an exciting time and becoming part of a team committed to building on that progress, operating with discipline, and continuing to deliver the best-in-class, innovative solutions churches and nonprofits expect from Ministry Brands.”
