First introduced in April for customers in the West, TLS Connect is a Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool designed specifically for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). TLS Connect automates public trust TLS certificate deployment and renewal, allowing SMEs to strengthen security, maintain regulatory compliance and reduce business risk. TLS Connect by GMO availability is a significant development for companies adjusting to a series of global TLS certificate lifespan reductions. Per the April 2025 vote at the Certificate Authority/Browser Forum (CA/B), the first TLS certificate reduction occurred on March 15, 2026 – dropping lifespans from 398 to 200 days. Another “drop” to 100-day validity occurs March 15, 2027. When the final reduction takes place on March 15, 2029, the lifespan of TLS certificates will be 47 days.

This new solution is particularly relevant for the APAC and Middle East regions, where SMEs are a considerable part of the economy: roughly 94% for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market, 97% for Australia, and 99% for Singapore and the Philippines.
