StandardAero to Continue U.S. Air Force T56 Engine Depot Maintenance Support for C-130 Aircraft Globally

New multi-year contract builds on more than 25 years of partnership with USAF on T56 platform

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StandardAero (NYSE: SARO), a leading independent pure-play provider of aerospace engine aftermarket services including engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and engine component repair, has been awarded a position on the U.S. Air Force’s new T56 engine depot maintenance contract, reinforcing the company’s long-standing partnership with the U.S. Air Force and its leadership in Rolls-Royce T56 engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).

The 10-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), firm-fixed-price contract has a maximum ceiling value of $342.2 million. Through this contract, StandardAero will provide depot-level repair and overhaul of T56 Series engines, modules and components for the global fleet of more than 1,200 C-130 aircraft for U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.

“StandardAero is honored to continue our partnership with the U.S. Air Force in support of the T56 engine program,” said Rick Pataky, Vice President and General Manager of StandardAero San Antonio. “Having supported the Air Force’s T56 fleet for more than 25 years, this award reflects our team’s proven technical expertise, commitment to mission readiness and ability to deliver dependable, high-quality MRO solutions for military operators around the world.”

StandardAero’s partnership with the U.S. Air Force T56 program began in 1999. StandardAero is the world’s largest independent provider of T56 engine MRO services and continues to provide sustainment support for Foreign Military Sales operators in partnership with the U.S. Air Force. StandardAero also has played a pivotal role in modernizing the Air Force’s T56 fleet, having completed the conversion of USAF T56 Series 3 engines to the enhanced Series 3.5 configuration. The upgrade delivers improved fuel efficiency while extending engine time on wing, helping reduce lifecycle costs and increasing aircraft availability for critical missions.

This latest contract award further strengthens StandardAero’s position as a trusted partner for maintaining military propulsion systems and underscores the company’s continued commitment to supporting the readiness of U.S. and allied defense forces for years to come.
