Mizuho Retains “Outstanding” Community Reinvestment Act Ratings

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mizuho Americas today announced that it received ratings of “Outstanding” in its most recent Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) performance evaluations. The ratings acknowledge the efforts of Mizuho Bank (USA) in meeting the credit needs of its assessment area with a high level of loans, investments, and services for community development.

“We are proud to once again receive Outstanding CRA ratings, which reflect our sustained commitment to meeting community development needs in New York City,” said Seiji Tate, Chairman & CEO, Mizuho Americas. “These results recognize the dedication of our colleagues and the strength of our partnerships with organizations working to expand access to opportunity, capital, and services in the communities we serve, including low- and moderate-income households.”

One of the “Outstanding” ratings was awarded by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for the period of July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025, and the other from the New York Department of Financial Services for the period of April 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025.

The CRA, enacted in 1977, requires banking regulators to encourage financial institutions to help meet the credit needs of the communities in which they do business, including low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods.
