"Spokane and Eastern Washington are home to so many of our employees, clients and nonprofit partners," said Brent Beardall, President and Chief Executive Officer of WaFd Bank. "These fires have had a profound impact on people and neighborhoods we know well. Our hearts are with everyone affected, and we are committed to standing alongside our community during this difficult time. We hope this contribution helps provide immediate relief while supporting the long road to recovery."

WaFd Bank has served the Spokane and Eastern Washington regions for decades and remains committed to helping communities recover after disasters. The bank is working with local nonprofit partners and community leaders to identify additional ways to support recovery efforts as soon as rebuilding begins.

"The American Red Cross is providing critical services to families who have lost homes, been displaced or are facing tremendous uncertainty," Beardall said. "We are grateful for their leadership and the compassion they bring to every disaster response. Supporting organizations that are on the front lines is one of the most meaningful ways we can help our neighbors recover."

The American Red Cross responds to disasters of all sizes by providing emergency shelter, food, emotional support and recovery resources to those in need. Donations help ensure the organization can continue delivering lifesaving assistance during emergencies and throughout the recovery process.
