Crawford Strengthens Claims Capabilities in Colombia With Addition of Asegúrate Team

Strategic investment enhances technical expertise and reinforces long-term commitment to the Colombian insurance market

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Crawford & Company®, the world's largest publicly listed independent provider of claims management and outsourcing solutions, has enhanced its claims operation in Colombia through the addition of the professional team from Asegúrate, led by Mauricio Pinzón.

The addition brings together strong local market knowledge, specialist claims expertise and the strength of Crawford’s global network, creating new opportunities to support clients and deliver even greater value across the region.

This move boosts Crawford® Colombia's expertise across property & casualty (P&C), marine, loss control, risk management and other key claims disciplines, while complementing the company's well-established third-party administration (TPA) operation in the country.

"Colombia is an important market within our Latin American operations and this investment reflects our long-term confidence in the country's insurance sector," said Andrew Bart, CEO, International Operations, Crawford & Company. "By adding to our technical capabilities and welcoming highly experienced professionals to our team, we are further enhancing our ability to support clients with specialised claims and risk solutions backed by Crawford's global resources, technical excellence and strong local market expertise."

Mauricio Pinzón joins Crawford following a distinguished career in the Colombian insurance industry and will serve as Claims Manager – Commercial lines, Crawford Colombia. Throughout his career, he has led the management of complex P&C and marine claims, developed multidisciplinary teams and built strong relationships across the local and international insurance markets.

"One of our priorities across Latin America is to continue investing in the people, expertise and capabilities that enable us to deliver greater value to our clients," said Leonardo Semenovitch, president, Crawford Latin America. "The addition of Mauricio and his team strengthens our technical capabilities in Colombia while complementing our existing TPA platform, providing clients with access to broader expertise, enhanced service capabilities and the backing of Crawford's global network."

Clients in Colombia will benefit from enhanced technical expertise, expanded claims management capabilities and access to Crawford's global best practices, technology and specialist resources, while continuing to receive the personalised service, responsiveness and local market knowledge that have long characterised Crawford's operations in the country.

Pinzón welcomed the opportunity to join Crawford and continue supporting clients as part of a global leader in claims management.

"Joining Crawford allows us to combine the close relationships, responsiveness and technical expertise our clients value with the strength and resources of a global organisation," said Mauricio Pinzón, property & casualty manager, Crawford Colombia. "Together, we can provide even greater support through expanded capabilities, advanced technology and one of the industry's most extensive claims networks, while creating more career opportunities for our people and maintaining the high level of service our clients expect."

The integration represents another step in Crawford's strategy to strengthen its claims management capabilities throughout Latin America and invest in local talent to support future growth.
