GC AI Launches Contract Intelligence: Ask Your Contracts Anything. Get Cited Answers in Seconds.

More contracts than you can count. One question away from a precise, immediate answer.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In an AI world, signed contracts are a valuable data set for a company. Years of negotiated terms, obligations, leverage, and opportunity sit in the archive. Getting to the bottom of what is buried in those documents for your company specifically has required weeks of manual review, a five-figure outside-counsel invoice, an expensive consultant project, or even e-discovery on your own documents! But starting today, companies can get those answers in minutes. Searchable, knowable, and actionable.

"Thousands of contracts. Ask any question, every answer cited and secure."

GC AI, the legal AI for companies, today launched Contract Intelligence, a new capability that turns unstructured contracts and legal documents into a single, structured source of truth you can query in plain English, at a scale of hundreds of thousands of documents.

It's the headline release of GC AI's biggest launch week to date, which also includes live legal AI classes built into the product, an API that puts legal answers directly into the tools a company already runs on, in-chat redlining, and agent connectors to more than twenty business apps. Contract Intelligence is the one built for the gap none of the others touch: everything a company signed before today.

"Companies tell us that expensive contract management systems aren't delivering the insights they need, to where they literally can't tell what's in their contracts without hours of work from the legal team," said Cecilia Ziniti, Co-Founder and CEO of GC AI. "Contract Intelligence means you never have to wonder what's in your contracts again. You just ask, and drive the business forward."

The Post-Signature Blind Spot, Solved

Most Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms do their best work before signature. After signature, they become storage. Ask a question about what your company agreed to, and the honest answer at most companies is that nobody knows without a manual review across every folder in the system. Maybe painstaking manual tagging in advance helped, but what company has time for that, especially in the AI world?

Contract Intelligence changes what the archive can do. Ask a question in plain English, and it reads every stored contract and returns a cited answer in minutes.

How It Works

Point it at your documents, describe what you need, and it reads everything and returns a live, filterable table for review.

  • Ask a real question, get a real answer. "Which vendor agreements auto-renew in the next 90 days?" returns the answer with the contracts sitting right beside it.
  • Every answer cites its source. Click a value and land on the exact passage it came from.
  • Knows what's actually been signed. GC AI reviews and classifies every document status, so you know whether it's been fully executed, partially signed, is completely unsigned or is still a draft.
  • Automatically rename every document in your preferred naming convention. Set your naming convention and have GC AI automatically rename each document accordingly. Never second-guess what “scan_001.pdf” is; GC AI renames it Acme Inc - MSA - Aug 10 2022.pdf so you understand what you’re looking at immediately.
  • The full deal history, not just the file in front of you. Amendments, renewals, and SOWs are linked to the agreements they belong to, so you see what governs today, with a trail back to exactly what changed it.
  • Built for real volume. Export up to 100,000 contracts in a single vault; filter and sort across them within minutes.
  • Meets your documents where they live. Google Drive, Dropbox, Ironclad, SharePoint, OneDrive, live today and DocuSign on the way.

Real Wins, Immediate and Across Years of Data

One customer inherited 400 vendor agreements after an acquisition. No legal team had ever touched them, and no one knew what half of them covered. With Contract Intelligence, she had immediate visibility into amounts, parties, indemnity terms, upcoming auto-renewals, and notification obligations.

Another customer had a single agreement dating back to 1996, part of a seven- or eight-figure relationship, amended five times with four related agreements attached. Understanding how they all connected used to take a day and a half of manual work, but it took minutes.

What Sets It Apart

Most tools in this category ask you to migrate your contracts into something new before they'll answer a single question. Contract Intelligence doesn't; it works with what you already have, wherever it already sits. Paired with a citation on every answer, that's the difference between a tool that sounds right and one you can actually rely on for privileged work.

Why It Matters Right Now

In-house AI adoption has moved from the exception to the default in under two years, but faster drafting and research were never the whole story. The real cost has always been sitting in the file cabinet: agreements nobody can search, risk nobody can see, answers nobody can get without a war room and an invoice. Contract Intelligence is built on the same in-house-tuned AI already trusted by 2,000+ legal teams.

"This isn't about replacing legal judgment," Ziniti added. "It's about making sure that judgment is never operating on half the picture." Your contracts have answers. Start asking.

Security and Access Control

Contract Intelligence runs inside GC AI's existing security architecture, not a separate, less-trusted system. Every document is encrypted, tenant-isolated, and covered by a no-train guarantee, so nothing a customer uploads is ever used to train models for anyone else. Access is role-based, so legal can open a vault up to the rest of the business without losing control over who can view, edit, or export. GC AI is designed to support SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3, and GDPR/CCPA compliance, with SSO, SAML, and SCIM available for enterprise rollouts.
