DISCO Combines Facts and Law in Unified Litigation Solution

Industry-first offering moves beyond eDiscovery to deliver full-stack AI-native capabilities for litigators

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DISCO (NYSE: LAW), a creator of industry-leading litigation technology, today announced the industry’s first unified litigation solution that combines a deep contextual grasp of the facts of a matter and the relevant U.S. case law to give litigators instant access to their most critical information in a single, powerful AI-native application.

The solution will initially bring together the facts of a matter with the controlling law alongside patent-pending litigation-specific workflows in a single pane of glass – something no other company offers. Ultimately, DISCO is building a full suite of deeply integrated litigation capabilities that span the life of a matter from filing to verdict – handling everything from legal facts to drafting to case strategy to trial preparation and case management.

“Today’s announcement takes DISCO well beyond eDiscovery and into serving the unique demands of litigators with purpose-built AI tools that adapt and grow to meet their individual needs,” said CEO Eric Friedrichsen. “We believe a solution that understands a case and the law and carries that context forward will give litigation teams a strategic advantage and unlock a wealth of institutional knowledge and expertise that today sits siloed within individual lawyers and individual cases. This is litigation evolved.”

DISCO’s unified litigation solution is currently in pilot with five leading law firms on live cases. The goal of the pilot program is to work closely with tech-forward litigation firms to further enhance the solution ahead of general availability early next year.

One of those firms, Am Law 200 Quarles & Brady LLP, echoed the appeal of the solution and the importance of purpose-built capabilities for top litigation teams.

"Most legal tools are built for lawyers, but not litigators,” said Brandon Krajewski, litigation partner at Quarles. “DISCO's approach is exciting because it brings together the facts of a matter and the relevant law in a single platform specifically engineered for the stakes and complexity of modern litigation."

The solution will create deep insights for individual cases and entire dockets and put significant customization and control in the hands of customers, enabling them to create their own workflows, agents and tools that ensure their own best practices drive how the solution supports their work both within and across matters.

“DISCO’s unified litigation solution is the first step in what we see as a command center for complex litigation that unites all of the most important capabilities, information and knowledge, tailored to the needs of litigators,” said Chief Product, Technology and Strategy Officer Richard Crum. “While there is more to come – and it will move quickly – even right out of the gate our facts-plus-law architecture puts unique and valuable capabilities in the hands of litigators and case teams.”
