BLOCS Expresses Gratitude for the Contributions and Service to Four Longtime Board Members

Brian McElwee, Fran VanKirk, Charlie Bernier, and Bill Streich conclude their service on the BLOCS Board of Directors

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BLOCS today announced that Brian McElwee, Fran VanKirk, Charlie Bernier, and Bill Streich have stepped down from its Board of Directors, effective June 30, 2026, capping years of dedicated service to the BLOCS organization and mission.

Brian McElwee, is President of Valley Forge Investment Corporation, and the Board Chair of the Independent Mission Schools, IMS, where he will continue to focus on IMS’s thirteen schools. Fran VanKirk is a retired Partner and executive leader of Heidrick and Struggles, and former Office Managing Partner for ten years of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Philadelphia Office. Charlie Bernier is the president of ECBM, an insurance brokerage firm headquartered in the Philadelphia region. Bill Streich with a distinguished career in financial management and leadership with national and international companies retired most recently as CFO of Holt Logistics Corporation.

These leaders each served with distinction on the BLOCS Board of Directors for well over a decade where they helped to improve the lives of tens of thousands of children in grades PreK through twelve.
