Triad Business Bank Welcomes Brent Burgess to Board of Directors

Burgess brings financial and advisory experience from multiple investment enterprises to the TBB board

GREENSBORO, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Triad Business Bank has appointed Brent Burgess to its board of directors.

With more than 30 years of experience as an investor and a proven track record with private and public investment firms, Burgess brings expertise and strategic insight that will support the bank’s growth and sustainability. He is managing partner, co-founder, and a member of the investment committee at Concentric, a private investment firm that provides debt and equity capital to U.S. companies.

“Brent has extensive experience in the financial industry. His ability to foster strategic agility when making investments and navigating capital markets has been instrumental in driving successful outcomes for the companies he has led,” said Ramsey Hamadi, Triad Business Bank’s chief executive officer.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Regina in Canada, Burgess received his MCS/MA from Regent College/University of British Columbia, where he was awarded the Board of Governor’s Prize. Before Concentric, Burgess co-founded Triangle Capital Corporation, where he led $2.3 billion in investments across 165 private companies and helped take the company public in 2007.

In addition to his role as an investor and financial expert, Burgess has served on multiple advisory boards, including Cypress Hills Partners, Granville Advisers and Harbor Capital.

“We are excited to have Brent Burgess join our board of directors. His experience and achievements make him an invaluable asset to the team,” Hamadi said. “Brent’s insight and understanding of investing will allow us to strengthen and expand our relationships in the Small Business Investment Companies (SBIC’s) industry.”
