Camden Property Trust Announces D. Keith Oden’s Retirement From His Executive Position & the Completion of the Company’s Long Term Sucession Planning

HOUSTON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Camden Property Trust (NYSE:CPT) (the “Company”) announced the retirement from an executive capacity of D. Keith Oden, Co-Founder of the Company, effective August 31, 2026. Mr. Oden will remain a member of the Board of Trust Managers. This is the final step in the Company’s multi-year successful succession process which has seen the promotion of several long-standing highly performing team members. Richard J. Campo, Co-Founder of the Company, will continue to serve in an executive capacity as Executive Chairman of the Board.

“I have had the profound pleasure of working alongside and being mentored by Keith for over 27 years,” said Alex Jessett, Camden’s Chief Executive Officer, “and I look forward to continuing to work closely with Keith in his capacity as a valued member of our Board. His lasting legacy will forever be our unwavering commitment to improving the lives of our team members, customers, and stakeholders, one experience at a time.”

“I started working with Keith in 1981, and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner and friend to build Camden. He’s the ‘den’ in Camden — that’s how much of himself he has put into our Company. Keith pairs sharp intellect with a real gift for detail, but what sets him apart is how deeply he cares: about helping people find a great place to live and about building a great place to work,” said Ric Campo, Camden’s Executive Chairman, “his drive for living excellence and determination is a large part of why we have been recognized as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For® by FORTUNE magazine for 19 consecutive years - one of our greatest accomplishments. I’m proud of what we built together, and I’ll miss having him down the hall every day, but I look forward to continuing to work with him as a member of our Board.”
