Key Points

1. Q1FY27: Revenue ¥1,497.1 bn (+¥184.2 bn YoY), Adjusted Operating Profit ¥144.3 bn (+¥50.4 bn YoY)

- Revenue increased YoY across all segments, led mainly by increases in the Industry & Mobility and Life segments.
- Adjusted operating profit increased YoY due primarily to growth in the business scale mainly in factory automation systems, defense & space systems, and air conditioning systems & home products and price improvements in mass production businesses, as well as the impact of the weaker yen.
- Both revenue and adjusted operating profit reached record highs for Q1.

2. FY27 Forecast: Revenue ¥6,270.0 bn (+¥70.0 bn from the previous forecast), Adjusted Operating Profit ¥620.0 bn (+¥30.0 bn from the previous forecast)

- Both revenue and profit is expected to exceed the previous forecast mainly due to an increase in business volume expected in factory automation systems due to growing demand related to artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductors, as well as the impact of a weaker-than-expected yen in Q1.
- The Mitsubishi Electric Group will steadily promote initiatives to strengthen the resilience of its management structure, including improvements in product prices, cost reductions, and the optimization of indirect costs.

The results forecast above is based on assumptions deemed reasonable by Mitsubishi Electric at the present time, and actual results may differ significantly from forecasts. Please refer to the cautionary statement in the full document.
