"We're proud to receive this recognition for the fourth consecutive year because it reflects the culture we've worked so hard to foster and sustain," said Darren Williams, President and CEO of Wescom Financial. "When people feel respected, supported and empowered to do their best work, our members benefit, our communities benefit and our organization grows stronger. We're committed to creating an environment where employees can build meaningful careers while making a positive impact on the lives of the people we serve."
"What makes this certification especially meaningful is that it's based entirely on feedback from our team members," said Stephanie Winkler, Vice President of Human Capital & Development at Wescom Financial. "The survey results tell us that our team members genuinely support one another, celebrate each other's successes and feel connected to Wescom's mission. Those are the kinds of relationships and experiences we work hard to cultivate every day because they're the foundation of a strong workplace culture."
To promote a strong sense of belonging, employee engagement, and community service within the workplace for their approximately 840 employees, Wescom hosts company events and has formed an Inclusion and Diversity Committee and Council comprised of volunteers throughout the organization from varying levels, divisions, experiences, tenure, gender, ethnicities, and cultures.
That culture extends beyond the workplace through employee volunteerism, community partnerships and the work of the Wescom Foundation, the organization’s charitable arm, providing team members with opportunities to make a lasting impact throughout the communities Wescom serves and in which employees live. Since its establishment in 1999, the Wescom Foundation has invested more than $7.6 million in local nonprofit organizations. In 2025, Wescom team members contributed more than 2,000 volunteer service hours supporting causes throughout Southern and Central California.
Wescom Financial offers a full range of banking products and services, financial education programs, and grants that support community-based organizations.
As Wescom continues to grow, the organization remains committed to attracting talented professionals who share its passion for serving members and communities throughout California by offering generous employee benefits including remote and hybrid work schedules for many positions, a minimum hourly wage that's about 39% higher than the minimum wage set by the state of California, and up to five days off per year to participate in volunteer work.
