Ambiq and ChipAgents Collaborate to Advance Agentic AI for Semiconductor Engineering
Edge AI semiconductor leader expands use of ChipAgents' agentic AI platform to accelerate ultra-low power chip design and verification.
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ChipAgents, a leader in agentic AI for semiconductor engineering, today announced that Ambiq, a leader in ultra-low power Edge AI semiconductor solutions, has expanded deployment of the ChipAgents platform following a successful evaluation. The expanded scope reflects the growing adoption of AI-native engineering tools as semiconductor companies seek new approaches to developing increasingly sophisticated products.
ChipAgents develops agentic AI purpose-built for semiconductor engineering. Its platform helps engineering teams work more efficiently across design and verification workflows by understanding specifications, RTL, simulation data, waveforms, and other engineering artifacts. It enables engineers to automate repetitive tasks, accelerate debug, and focus on solving complex design challenges.
"Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing how semiconductor products are designed and verified," said William Wang, Founder and CEO of ChipAgents. "Engineering teams need more than general-purpose AI assistants; they need AI that understands the unique workflows of semiconductor development and can meaningfully augment experienced engineers. We're proud to work with Ambiq, whose commitment to engineering innovation for low-power designs makes them an ideal partner for advancing the application of agentic AI in production semiconductor development."
"Ambiq's leadership in Edge AI has always been driven by a relentless focus on innovation, not only in our ultra-low power semiconductor technology, but also in the engineering processes that enable us to bring increasingly sophisticated products to market," said Raghuram Tupuri, Executive Vice President of Engineering at Ambiq. "As semiconductor designs become increasingly complex, we chose ChipAgents to help our engineering teams innovate faster while maintaining the quality our customers expect."
Following an initial evaluation, Ambiq expanded deployment of the ChipAgents platform across additional engineering teams. The companies will continue exploring broader applications of agentic AI to streamline low power semiconductor development workflows and improve engineering productivity.
