Catapult Launches IMPECT Video Scouting
Powered by IMPECT's proprietary Packing® data
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Catapult (ASX: CAT), the global leader in sports technology for professional teams, announced the launch of IMPECT Video Scouting. IMPECT Video Scouting is a new state-of-the-art video scouting solution powered by IMPECT's proprietary Packing® data and contextual football intelligence for professional football clubs.
IMPECT Video Scouting offers a revolutionary discovery engine that helps teams find the right players faster. The platform lets scouts define specific performance criteria, then surfaces the exact match footage where each candidate demonstrates those qualities, significantly accelerating scouting decisions.
Built on the strategic vision behind the October 2025 acquisition of IMPECT, IMPECT Video Scouting is grounded in proprietary Packing® metrics, a method for quantifying player impact that shows exactly how teams break down opposition structures and create a tactical advantage. Adding context-rich video to this data helps scouts see a true, visual representation of a player’s performance behind the numbers.
With IMPECT Video Scouting, clubs can use Packing® metrics, which have been validated across 180,000+ matches, in a more comprehensive environment. Teams can watch full matches, isolate individual player scenes, or create custom playlists across 150+ men’s and women’s competitions.
“The future of football is about clarity and connection,” said Matt Bairos, Chief Product Officer, Catapult. “By bringing all of our intelligence and video workflows into one integrated view, we’re eliminating the friction that slows clubs down and empowering clubs to build winning strategies from a single, unified platform.”
IMPECT Video Scouting integrates directly into Catapult's Pro Video Suite, allowing clubs to move seamlessly from player scouting to detailed video review, telestration, and decision-ready presentations. Together, they provide a complete workflow from player scouting to final recruitment decisions.
“By using contextual football data to surface the most relevant moments, we’re helping clubs validate players faster, reduce bias, and make better recruitment decisions,” said Stefan Reinartz, Head of Product Strategy, Global Football Scouting, Catapult. “We are giving clubs the advantage of having deeper, more contextual data to help with overall scouting strategy and recruitment accuracy.”
IMPECT Video Scouting is available globally for football (soccer). To learn more about IMPECT and its data offerings, visit: https://www.catapult.com/solutions/impect.
