The Arch's Anvil Expands Leadership Team and Platform as Advisory Firms Face Increasing Organizational Complexity
Firm adds former COO, CCO, CISO and EOS Integrator Tamara Stelting to meet rising demand from RIAs that have outgrown founder-led operations.
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Arch's Anvil, an operational consulting firm for independent registered investment advisors (RIAs), today announced the addition of Tamara Stelting as Executive Consultant and an expansion of its consulting platform. The firm will detail both during a live webinar, "Growing Your Firm Beyond You," on Thursday, August 6.
Growth is creating new demands on leadership, communication, and organizational capacity. Firms are asking how to build organizations that can continue growing without requiring the founder to remain at the center of every important decision.

The expansion follows a recent organizational diagnostic conducted by The Arch's Anvil, which found a consistent pattern among participating firms: leadership teams had a clear vision for where the business was headed, while many employees struggled to explain how their day-to-day work contributed to that vision.
"We've seen a noticeable shift in the conversations we're having with firm leaders," said Claire Alexander, Founder of The Arch's Anvil. "Growth is creating new demands on leadership, communication, and organizational capacity. Firms are asking how to build organizations that can continue growing without requiring the founder to remain at the center of every important decision. That's the work we're expanding to meet."
Founded by Claire Alexander, The Arch's Anvil has spent more than a decade working alongside advisory firms representing over $10.1 billion in assets under management. While every engagement looks different, the outcome is consistent: leaders and advisors gain the organizational capacity to spend more time leading and less time coordinating the business around them. In one recent client engagement, those changes returned more than 100 hours in the first month alone.
NEW EXECUTIVE CONSULTANT BRINGS OPERATIONS, COMPLIANCE, AND EOS BACKGROUND
Stelting joins the firm after serving as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, and EOS Integrator for registered investment advisory firms. Her background includes leading operational initiatives, directing technology migrations, rebuilding core processes, and implementing the systems that improve efficiency and firm-wide alignment.
"Every person who joins The Arch's Anvil has to meet the same bar: have they actually done this work inside a firm, not just studied it,” said Alexander. “Tamara has spent her career in the seats she'll now be helping our clients build out; that's rare, and it's exactly what our clients need."
As an EOS Integrator, Stelting's work centers on translating a firm leader's vision into measurable operational traction, identifying bottlenecks, and building teams and systems capable of running without constant executive oversight.
"I've spent my career in the roles firms don't think about until something breaks, operations, compliance, security, integration,” said Stelting. “What drew me to The Arch's Anvil is that the work goes far beyond improving operations. It's about helping firms become organizations that are prepared for what's next. That's a very different conversation than simply making processes more efficient."
Stelting adds operational and compliance depth to a firm that has increasingly positioned itself around embedded, hands-on consulting rather than delivering recommendations from the outside. The Arch's Anvil describes its engagement model as one in which consultants work directly within a client firm's leadership structure, rather than presenting findings from a distance.
WEBINAR TO ADDRESS A COMMON BOTTLENECK: TEAM ALIGNMENT
Growing the Firm Beyond You is a live event on building the team and structure to scale faster, with a real-time case study from an advisor currently going through the process. Happening Thursday, August 6th at 4pm EDT, the webinar will focus on the disconnect between a firm's stated growth goals and what its team actually does day to day. In a recent diagnostic survey conducted by the firm, all respondents identified this gap, with most reporting that their teams could not articulate the firm's direction or their role in reaching it.
That disconnect is a familiar one in wealth management, where firms often scale client assets faster than they scale internal systems, leaving founders as the default answer to operational questions the business should have already resolved.
The session will cover:
- A framework for aligning a firm's team around long-term growth goals rather than daily task lists
- Practical guidance for founders preparing their firms for the next stage of development.
- A live, real-time perspective from an advisor and TAA client discussing his firm’s experience working through this transition.
- A first look at The Arch's Anvil's expanded platform
Chris Brown, President and Founder of Ivy League Financial Advisors and a current Arch's Anvil client, will join as a guest speaker to discuss his firm's experience with this transformation from a founder’s perspective.
The webinar is free and will be held live on Zoom, with a replay available to all registrants. Registration is open at www.TheArchsAnvil.com/Growing-Beyond-You.
PLATFORM EXPANSION
The Arch's Anvil's expanded platform brings together executive advisory, operational consulting, implementation support, leadership development, and licensing opportunities for larger firms seeking to incorporate the firm's framework internally.
The expansion reflects the changing needs of advisory firms that have successfully built growing businesses and are now focused on strengthening the organizations supporting them.
ABOUT THE ARCH’S ANVIL
The Arch's Anvil is an operational and growth platform built for independent registered investment advisors (RIAs), breakaway and hybrid advisors, and M&A aggregators, as well as other growth-minded, service-based businesses. The firm works with founders, CEOs, and advisory leadership on the vision and strategy for where a firm is headed, and directly with operations teams on the systems, processes, and infrastructure needed to execute it, offering both separate tracks built for each side of the firm and a joint path where leadership and operations build in tandem.
At its core is a centralized digital dashboard that replaces fragmented communications and disjointed systems with a single, organized structure for operational resources, project deliverables, and essential documents. Shaped by direct, inside-the-firm experience across more than 40 M&A transitions and integrations, The Arch's Anvil helps firms move from founder-dependent operations to institutional-grade systems, standardizing what should be consistent while preserving the flexibility that makes each firm distinct.
