Homes.com Shares Most Expensive Home Sales Across Major U.S. Markets in June
Los Angeles recorded the nation's highest publicly marketed home sale at $46.95 million, while luxury buyers continued to favor established enclaves across major U.S. markets
ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Homes.com, a leading online residential marketplace and part of CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP), published the most expensive publicly marketed home sales across major U.S. metropolitan areas for the month of June. The full analysis is available here.
The list highlights the top closed sales in leading markets nationwide based on publicly marketed transactions recorded in multiple listing service (MLS) data. June's highest-priced publicly marketed home sale occurred in Los Angeles, where a luxury compound closed for $46.95 million. Miami followed with another standout transaction, reinforcing the city's continued strength at the ultra-luxury end of the market, while San Francisco, New York City and Las Vegas rounded out the nation's five highest sales.
The full roundup of the most expensive publicly marketed home sales includes:
- Los Angeles: $47 million
- Miami: $43 million
- San Francisco: $26.5 million
- New York City: $23.5 million
- Las Vegas: $22 million
- Dallas: $18 million
- Tampa: $14.5 million
- San Diego: $12.2 million
- Phoenix: $12 million
- Seattle: $11.6 million
- Boston: $10.6 million
- Atlanta: $9.8 million
- Denver: $8.5 million
- Minneapolis: $8.5 million
- Philadelphia: $8.4 million
- Washington, D.C.: $7.5 million
- Houston: $7.5 million
- Chicago: $7 million
- Charlotte: $5 million
- Nashville: $5 million
- Cleveland: $3.2 million
June's results underscore the continued concentration of ultra-luxury home sales in a handful of coastal markets, while also highlighting the strength of luxury demand in select regional markets. Los Angeles and Miami continued to significantly outpace the rest of the country at the highest price points, while San Francisco recorded a $26.5 million sale as buyers sought homes near the region's expanding AI-driven economic growth. Elsewhere, constrained inventory continued to support pricing in markets such as Seattle and Cleveland, where even comparatively smaller luxury transactions reflected strong local demand.
Across many markets, buyers continued to gravitate toward established luxury neighborhoods, including Sandy Springs in Atlanta, Myers Park in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Philadelphia's Center City West, where multiple top sales occurred within the same residential building. At the same time, affordability pressures continued to reshape buying patterns in some markets, with luxury buyers in Washington, D.C., increasingly looking beyond traditional high-end neighborhoods.
The analysis, based on MLS data found on Homes.com, captures publicly marketed transactions and does not include private or off-market deals, which remain common among the highest tiers of the luxury housing market.
