K1x Appoints Ken Powell as Chief Operating Officer and Chris Capko as Chief Revenue Officer

Executive appointments follow K1x's recent $175 million growth investment as the company expands the leadership driving its next stage of growth and innovation in private market tax.

MORRISTOWN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--K1x, an AI-native private markets tax platform, today announced the appointments of Ken Powell as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chris Capko as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). The appointments reflect K1x's continued commitment to building the company for where the industry is headed next.

Building on the company’s recent $175 million growth investment led by Sumeru Equity Partners, the appointments mark the next step in the company's continued expansion. Over the past year, K1x has continued expanding its private markets tax platform through new product capabilities, strategic partnerships, and AI-native innovation, reinforcing its long-term vision for intelligent tax data infrastructure. As the company continues building that platform, it is investing in the leadership needed to accelerate innovation and deliver greater value to customers.

“Our recent growth investment gives us the opportunity to accelerate what we’ve been building for years,” said John LaMancuso, CEO of K1x. “As we continue expanding our platform and investing in new capabilities, Ken and Chris bring the leadership we need to help us scale thoughtfully, strengthen the customer experience and continue building the platform customers rely on today and will rely on tomorrow.”

Together, Powell and Capko have spent decades working in the markets K1x serves, including leadership careers at ADP, bringing complementary experience across operations, commercial leadership and enterprise technology.

Powell will transition from Chief Revenue Officer to Chief Operating Officer, where he will lead the product & partner strategy, as well as the operational capabilities that support continued growth at K1x, helping translate the company's long-term strategy into execution across the business. He brings more than 30 years of leadership experience across enterprise software and financial technology, including leadership roles at leading technology companies serving the accounting, private equity and financial services markets.

“Innovation creates opportunity, but execution is what creates value,” said Ken Powell, Chief Operating Officer at K1x. "Our focus is on building the foundation that enables K1x to bring new capabilities to market while helping customers prepare for what's next in private market tax."

As Chief Revenue Officer, Capko will lead K1x's commercial organization, bringing together sales, customer success, account management and marketing to create a more unified customer experience and accelerate the company's continued growth. He brings more than two decades of commercial leadership experience across enterprise SaaS, including leadership roles at ADP where he worked closely with private equity firms and their portfolio companies.

“Our customers aren’t just looking for software. They’re looking for a partner that understands where the market is going,” said Chris Capko, Chief Revenue Officer at K1x. “By bringing our commercial teams together around a shared focus on the customer, we’ll continue helping firms navigate change while delivering the expertise and support they expect from K1x.”

The appointments come as K1x continues to build momentum across the business. Most recently, the company was recognized by Selling Power as one of its 60 Best Companies to Sell For in 2026 for the second consecutive year, reflecting K1x's continued investment in its people, culture and commercial excellence.
