Henry Crown & Company Appoints Two New Directors to HCC Board
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Henry Crown & Company Holdings (HCC), the family office for the Crown family, today announced Kathleen "Leeny" Oberg and Eric Upin have been appointed as directors to the HCC Board.
The HCC Board is responsible for overseeing investments, business operations and family services of the Crown family office including its holdings in public and private equity, operating companies, real estate, sports teams and hospitality assets.

In addition to Leeny Oberg and Eric Upin, the other members of the HCC Board are: A. Steven (Steve) Crown, Executive Chairman of the HCC Board; William (Bill) H. Crown, CEO and President of HCC; Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., Steven A. Tananbaum Distinguished Fellow for International Economics at the Council on Foreign Relations and former President and CEO of TIAA; Craig C. Martin, Chairman, Americas, Partner and member of the Executive Committee of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP; and Anne Mulcahy, former Chairman and CEO of Xerox.
Kathleen "Leeny" Oberg
Ms. Oberg most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Marriott International and as the company's Executive Vice President, Development. She also served as Chief Financial Officer of The Ritz-Carlton, where she contributed significantly to the brand's performance, growth, and organizational effectiveness. Prior to those roles, she held a range of financial leadership positions with Marriott, including Senior Vice President, Corporate and Development Finance and Senior Vice President, International Project Finance and Asset Management for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Before joining Marriott, Ms. Oberg held financial leadership roles across hospitality and financial services, including with Sodexo, Sallie Mae, Goldman Sachs, and Chase Manhattan Bank. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Adobe, Inc. and Yum! Brands, Inc. Ms. Oberg earned a bachelor's degree in commerce with concentrations in finance and management information systems from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce and an M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
Eric Upin
Mr. Upin previously served as Chief Investment Officer of Stanford Management Company, overseeing the Stanford University Endowment, as Chief Investment Officer at Makena Capital Management, an asset management firm, and as Interim Chief Investment Officer for Washington University in St. Louis. More recently, he was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Point Olema Capital Partners, a multi-family investment office. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Washington University in St. Louis and as Board Chairman of the Washington University Investment Management Company. He also serves on several family office boards and investment committees. Mr. Upin received a B.A. in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
