AM Best to Sponsor, Exhibit and Speak at Vermont Captive Insurance Association’s Annual Conference


OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AM Best will participate in sessions on leading factors affecting the captive insurance industry at the 2026 Vermont Captive Insurance Association’s (VCIA) Annual Conference. AM Best also will participate in other capacities, including as a platinum sponsor of the event. The VCIA conference takes place Aug. 11-13, 2026.

During the conference, a group of AM Best analysts - Sharon Marks, director; Connor Brach, associate director; Kourtnie Beckwith, senior financial analyst; Sebastian Caballero, financial analyst; and Luke Davies, financial analyst - will take part in a mock rating committee session to give VCIA attendees a better understanding of the drivers behind rating decisions. The presentation is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13, at 11:15 a.m. EDT.

In addition, on Monday, Aug. 10, Todd Burrows, senior account manager, business development, AM Best, will participate in a Captive Immersion session scheduled for 1-4 p.m. (EDT).

This year marks the 26th year that AM Best has sponsored the VCIA conference, which offers a multitude of seminars focused on captive insurance trends and networking opportunities. The conference will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Burlington, VT; AM Best representatives available from both Ratings and Information Services will be on site exhibiting at booth No. 32 at the DoubleTree Exhibition Hall.
